The definition of 'Atawhai' means "pure - keeping things the way they were when they were first created."
Atawhai Farm is a Family business, named after their first son. It is situated near Amberley in Canterbury, New Zealand. They have Saanen goats, Wiltshire sheep, chickens, kunekune pigs and dogs.
Goats are milked by hand every day and spend a great amount of time with the family.
"All of our goat milk soap is made from the natural pure ingredients of fresh goat milk, coconut oil and olive oil. You know exactly what you are applying to your skin and body, therefore knowing that it will only have a positive affect because there are no 'nasty's' hiding in there.
We only use quality ingredients and our soaps are laden with natural healing properties which soothe and calm the skin on babies delicate skin, through to people with sensitive skin and skin conditions like dry, cracked skin, eczema and psoriasis etc.
Vitamins and minerals from the goat milk in our soap get absorbed into your skin. In particular the soaps are high in Vitamin A, and this is essential for skin repair, relieving acne, reducing lines and wrinkles. It acts as a gentle anti-inflammatory for damaged skin.
Goat milk contains 'Alpha Hydroxy Acids' like lactic acid. When used in a soap this aids in the removal of dead skin cells from your skin, leaving new skins cells smoother and you looking younger.
Our goat milk soaps are creamy so they will not dry your skin out. The cream in the milk helps enhance the moisturising properties and keeping your skin fresh and healthy."
